Really lovely riverside pub.
Great place for drinks, food was a strange one... We ordered battered squid and fish pie. Both delicious flavours but small portions for the price that really lacked any noticeable fish!

Great atmosphere and vibe. Really good drinks. Food is below average and very expensive. I paid £35 for a sirloin steak because they had no roast dinners left. Steak was not cooked properly..

I visited the pub today 2nd of March 2025 and I got food poisoning from fish and chips, exactly 2h after I ate. Now I am waiting to see if I need to go to the hospital or put my fingers in my mouth and throw up. The chips were ok but the problem was on the fish. When I cut it in half, I felt a little smell on it, but my mind was thinking that is was from the butter, but no, my stomach told me 2h later that it was from the fish. The atmosphere is nice but go there only for a drink, not for food.

Great pub on the riverside and a nice space to work in with the laptop during the week when it is quiet. Food is nice but a bit pricey. Weekends during the summer are rammed and it is hard to get a table inside or outside. Good cocktail menu and deals during the week.

If you're looking for the best fish and chips in Greenwich, look no further than *The Sale Loft*! The crispy, golden batter on the fish was absolute perfection—light, crunchy, and not at all greasy—while the fish itself was fresh and flaky. The chips were just as impressive, perfectly seasoned and cooked to a beautiful crisp on the outside with a fluffy center.
The Yorkshire pudding was a showstopper, towering and crisp on the outside yet beautifully soft and airy inside. Paired with rich gravy, it was pure comfort on a plate.
And then came the sticky toffee pudding—wow! Moist, decadent, and drenched in the most delicious toffee sauce, it was the perfect sweet ending to an unforgettable meal.
The cozy atmosphere and friendly service made the experience even better. Whether you're a local or just visiting Greenwich, *The Sale Loft* is an absolute must-visit. I can't wait to go back!

We enjoyed a really nice Saturday lunch time here. Lovely food (I had the pan fried sea bream), nice atmosphere and great views over the river. Would definitely go again

UPDATE However, my recent visit in December 2024 to this restaurant was disappointing. It was a Christmas dinner with a group of friends. We booked a table upstairs to enjoy the view, but when we arrived, the table upstairs was no longer available and we were offered a table downstairs next to a noisy bar. The manager was very apologetic and offered us a discount on the bill, which was nice of them. However, there were other issues: it was freezing in the restaurant and everyone ended up keeping their coats on - it was disappointing, as people dressed up for the party. My friend and I ordered a glass of wine each, of the same size, but her glass had less wine in it. She went to the bar to complain and they reluctantly poured more wine into her glass, not sure what happened there. The food was very average, and although the manager was very nice, the overall experience wasn't great, primarily because we were all freezing.

Very disappointing food burgers were some of the worst I have eaten in a pub in recent years and definitely not worth the £18 price tag. Chips were too heavily salted. Would never eat here again and would recommend others find a better option.

Had Christmas dinner here with workmates. Great ambience and view. Food did not impress but staff was great. We would have enjoyed our party better if we had our choice of music to be played but there was no tech to set this up although was possible according to staff.

Nice atmosphere with great view. Service was fast. Various events on site, and clean toilets.
